Bargain January #6: NYC mascara

Mascara for less than a fiver that doesn’t flake or run? Are you sold? Because I’m now fanatical about NYC mascaras.

Glancing back at old EOTD looks over the past year or so you may have noticed the prevalence of NYC mascaras. From High Definition to Sky Rise Lengthening mascara I’ve just realised I’ve been using them exclusively for a year.

So here are two that I’ve acquired most recently.

These mascaras last for AGES. The City Curls one I’d been using for I’d say four months without it drying up or flaking – a problem with literally every other ‘drugstore’ mascara I’ve used.

They start out a wet, and I think there's a 'getting used to' period with all  new mascaras, and they really improve with a bit of time.

For a few quid there’s really no arguing with these. For night time I’ll give my eyelashes a good curl and an extra coat or two and that’s me sorted.

They stay put well but are also easy to remove and as they’re ophthalmologist tested, these mascaras are eye-friendly. I’m a contact lens wearer so I can definitely say they’ve worked a treat for me.

These are usually £3.99 or so but are in Superdrug at the mo for £2.49 – so you can try out both of these for less than £%.
