Quick Drying Nail Spray and an OPI nail of the day

Or how to get your nail polish dryer, quicker!

Painting my nails has become part of my down time... but not
being the most patient person in the world I'm forever lifting books or
magazines, or the TV remote and smudging my polish before it’s dry.

I can’t be the only one who’s put on a lovely new colour while
in bed and then fallen asleep, only to wake up to fabric print on their polish,
can I?

Last week I drifted off while the polish was still wet and the
fluff from my fleecy pyjamas stuck to my nails – not the kind of textured look
I was after!

So, on a recent venture into Poundland I spotted Pretty Perfect
Nail Drying Spray and thought I could try it out.

I painted my nails with OPI I Brake for Manicures – a lovely
deep dusky plum shade that was part of their 2011 Touring America collection.

After applying a base coat, two coats of colour and then a
top coat I blasted my nails with the drying spray.

It says it can be used over any polish to dry it in about 60
seconds, although times do vary.

The spray is an aerosol and is easy to apply even with wet
nails.  It’s full of crazy chemicals, so I guess using this isn't very green-friendly but sometimes needs must.

I was a bit worried about how it would smell, but one of
those ingredients has got to be a scent, because it has a definite whiff of
talc which isn't too offensive.

But does it work?

Well I think so.  My nails were dry to the touch after around a minute and I gave it another five
minutes or so before I got up to do things. 

And I'm pleased to report that after changing my clothes – and even doing the button on my jeans, which ALWAYS seems to damage not-quite-dry polish - my nails were perfect.

I picked this up in Poundland so you can guess that it wasn't expensive and I think it does cut drying time, which is always a plus!
